- If there is a USB option available, try using it to establish a connection with the computer.
- Ensure that the wireless printer is connected to the right Wi-Fi network and this is especially true when using range extenders as they create separate networks.
- Updating the browser, security software, firewall, or operating system can cause wireless printer connectivity issues.
Set The Printer As Default Printer
When you install certain printer software, it will have a virtual printer that will set itself as the default printer. When you enter the print command, the file will be saved by this virtual printer instead of the actual physical printer, follow the steps below to resolve this issue.
- Click the Start button and open the Control Panel from Settings.
- In it click Devices, from it select Printers & scanners on the left-hand side.
- Click on your printer and select Set as the default printer, click OK to confirm the action.
Restart Devices
In many cases restarting the devices including computer and wireless printer can solve printer offline error. This is because computers, wireless router, wireless access point, and modem all are part of a network, so problems with one of them can affect others.
